Storage of nets

After harvesting, the nets have to be disassembled and stored to avoid damages during winter. The nets could be disassembled completely, stored in a dry room, safe from mice and kept away from light. The nets could also be stored in the crop, but then like the foil canopies or hail nets, in waterproof and UV-resistant black foil. It must be ensured that the nets are kept dry during storage in black foil and that no damages occur during winter, i.e. by rubbing on construction or storm. During removal of nets, the nets have to be controlled for damages and have to be repaired or exchanged before netting in the following year.

Old nets that are no longer used must continue to be stored until they are disposed of in such a way that they do not become dirty or weathered. Disposal companies often do not accept nets that are too dirty or weathered.
